London City Airport’s focus on business travel ensures that there is not such a wide range of pre-departure stores as you might find elsewhere, but there are still plenty of chances to pick up your essentials before you fly. There is a large newsagent before the security checkpoint where you can pick up a magazine to read, while after passport control you can find a large duty-free shopping area at London City Airport, which offers a huge range of goods at several shops including Bally, Bewley’s, and Hughes and Hughes. Check in for flights from London City Airport is located to the right of the main entrance to the terminal building. All departures, both domestic and international use the one building, and you should arrive at the airport around two hours before your flight. The nearest tube station is at Canning Town on the Jubilee Line, from where you can get the Docklands Light Railway the rest of the way to the terminal building. If you choose to drive to the airport, the easiest way is to follow the signs for Woolwich from the A13. The short stay car park at London City Airport is located right outside the terminal building, while the long stay car park is only a short walk away. |
