There are good road links between the airport and all major Scottish cities, and both short and long stay car parks are available on site. Taxis are available from outside the terminal building, although they can be expensive – especially in the evening – and you might find that it is more cost effective to book in advance with a local company rather than pick up a metered cab from outside the terminal building. Before you fly from Edinburgh Airport, there are a number of hotels where you can spend the night preparing for your departure if you have a long drive to the airport. The Edinburgh Airport Quality Hotel, the Hilton Airport Edinburgh, and the Edinburgh Marriott Hotel are all within easy reach of the terminal building and offer a high standard of service. When you fly from Edinburgh Airport, there is no reason to get bored waiting for your departure, as there are many shops to browse through in the terminal building. You can find pretty much anything that you might need for your trip at shops including Best of Scotland, Rolling Luggage, and Books etc, where you can always find something good to read on the beach. |
