Bag Check In Charge Increased By Delta

Delta Air Lines has just advised customers that the check in charge for a second bag is to be increased in order to counter rising fuel costs.

The charge is set to be doubled from USD25 to USD50 for internal Delta flights and will be applicable to all passengers travelling from 5 August onwards. As stated it is for domestic US flights so transatlantic services such as flights to New York from the UK will not be affected.

Passengers on Delta Air Lines upper class services, including Business Elite, Medallion and First Class will not have to pay a charge, being allowed up to three pieces of luggage with no charge.
