Confirmation has come from Etihad Airways regarding the increase in frequency of their flights to Melbourne.
Due to commence in March next year Etihad Airways will have a daily service from both Manchester and London Heathrow. The flights will stop in the carriers home base of the UAE before carrying on to Melbourne, at which time the aeroplane used will swap over to an A340-600 Airbus. This will be a three class service, with capacity for 244 economy passengers plus 30 business class and 12 first class.
Both Etihad and the Australian government are delighted with the expansion of the service, seeing it as beneficial for all concerned. The additional choice for travellers from the UK will also be welcomed.
