Heathrow Airport Expansion Solution

A recently completed study by the City of London Authority has stated that a third runway at London Heathrow Airport is the obvious way to ease congestion there.

The study felt that the environmental impact of a third runway is outweighed by the benefits created by the extra capacity. It also went on to dismiss other airport options as not viable in comparison. Should London Heathrow Airport not be expanded then it could see London lose its status as a major financial centre, something that would have a dramatic effect on the country as a whole, not just the capital.

At the moment London Heathrow is the busiest airport in the world for international travellers, with being one of the most popular routes offered. Should they lose the chance to expand though there are other European airports well placed to pick up that mantle.
