More Strikes Anticipated For Lufthansa

Lufthansa is bracing itself for further strikes, starting as early as next week, as the union forecast a high response to the proposed strike action.

Around a thousand flights were cancelled last week because of pilot strikes while this latest action would involve ground staff and cabin crew. The Lufthansa CEO has communicated with all employees urging them to reconsider their position as a strike would not be helpful to anyone.

Lufthansa are a major European and transatlantic carrier, with flights to Brazil being a big part of their arsenal. However even with all this traffic they are struggling to remain financially viable as costs keep rising.
