Depending on the reason why you're in Nepal, your experience of hospitality will differ enormously from anyone else. If you're trekking on a budget, expect to sleep under canvas in shared tents for most of your stay; if you're sightseeing in Kathmandu, then you can expect a high(ish) standard of accommodation in some reasonably good hotels. In the backcountry, you may be able to get accommodation in a hut in a monastery if you're polite; otherwise it is tents and shacks rather than hotels in Nepal.
