France Events in France Shows

The most important day of the year for the French is Bastille Day, July 14th, when the populace celebrate the date in the revolution when the palace was seized, and the royal family were dragged to their appointment with Madame Guillotine. Considering the bloodthirsty nature of the feast day, it comes as a surprise that Bastille Day is celebrated like Independence Day in the USA, in some ways, you can't help thinking that it's a wasted opportunity.
