With an annual calendar that makes every day seem like a holiday, the resort of Cancun has only been around for about 30 years, so it hasn't really had enough time to develop its own specific festivals. For a town that has refined partying to the status of an art form, the Carnaval in February is a spectacular event with plenty of parades, and the locals going absolutely berserk on a mix of sunshine and tequila.
