The currency is the US dollar, and typically, prices are significantly cheaper than in the UK, particularly for clothing and food. While not compulsory, tipping is expected for almost every service including taxis, waiting staff, hotel bellboys and tour guides. Usually tip 10-15% of the price you are charged.
