Estonia Currency in Estonia foreign exchange rates

What is the Currency in Estonia? Find out what type of money or foreign currency you will need when travelling to Estonia. Learn about foreign exchange rates, Banking, Currency & Taxes...

The currency used in Estonia is the Kroon, and credit cards are welcomed in the larger cities such as Talinn, where there are many cash points that accept Visa and Cirrus Cards.

The cost of living remains low in the country, although it is rising, and away from the tourist areas, there are cafes where you can get a meal for two people including wine for less than £10, although expect to pay at least triple that in the nicer restaurants.

On the whole tipping is not expected in the country, although it is customary to round the bill up to the nearest whole number.

Bargaining is expected in smaller markets, and you can get a discount of up to about 20% if you're polite about the haggle.
