Ireland Currency in Ireland foreign exchange rates

What is the Currency in Ireland? Find out what type of money or foreign currency you will need when travelling to Ireland. Learn about foreign exchange rates, Banking, Currency & Taxes...

The currency used in the Republic of Ireland is the Euro, although credit cards are widely accepted throughout the city of Dublin and you can use Visa and Cirrus cards to withdraw money from most ATM machines throughout the city.

Most hotels and restaurants will have already added a service charge onto the bill when they present it to you, so tipping is not always necessary, although if no service charge has been added, 10% is normal, although not always expected.
