Gordon Ramsay's Verre restaurant is the only Michelin starred restaurant in the city; it attracts diners from miles around and is located at the stylish Hilton Dubai Creek in the city centre. Alcohol is available in restaurants and hotel bars, so consequently, a night on the town will often mean visiting many of these. Price wise, meals cost from about £5 for food in a local restaurant up to several hundred pounds in the Al Muntaha seafood restaurant at the legendary Burj Al Arab (which is incidentally almost always fully booked) in most of the better restaurants reservations are essential to avoid disappointment.
The revolving restaurant at the top of the Hyatt Regency hotel is one of the most popular locations for a meal in the city, and has excellent views of the city at night.
Romantic souls may like to book a dinner cruise by dhow on Dubai Creek, and these offer an opportunity to enjoy an excellent meal with great views. Several local tour operators offer the service, but to avoid disappointment, it pays to use a well-established company.
