Say you're a vegetarian in Estonia, and the locals will quizzically cock an eyebrow at you before bursting out laughing. In Estonia, every meal not only comes with meat, but is dominated by it, especially in the winter, when the locals get a bit vampiric, and eat exotic dishes such as blood sausage (a sausage made of blood), and blood pancakes (pancakes made of blood), both of which sound absolutely yummy.
Thankfully, the Estonians also pride themselves on the vast number of cakes and pastries that they eat, so there is always something to take your mind of what you've eaten. If the big bowl of cake fails, then you can always get hammered on one of the potent local liqueurs.
