With a reputation for excellent value created by the exchange rates and low cost of living within South Africa, Durban is an excellent place to do some serious shopping, and there are several large malls that between them offer a massive variety of goods and services at great prices. Some of the larger ones are the Pavilion, which also has a great deal of entertainment going on, and the village centre themed Richdens in Kloof.
There are also several markets at the weekend within the city where you can pick up great deals on local handicrafts and sporting goods.
