If you want to buy clothes, and don't mind what you pay, then France is the place in which to do it. You may well pay a bit more for your Dior than you might in Manchester, but you'll never feel as glamorous again in your life, the first time you parade down the Champs Elysees with a few designer's carrier bags over your arm, as you hide behind Chanel sunglasses and fantasize that you're Posh Spice (unless of course you are, in which case, you probably wish you were me).
