The colossal Olympia Stadium was constructed for the Berlin Olympics of 1936, and is now home to Bundesliga side Herta Berlin, who play there throughout the German Season. The national team also play many of their international matches at the ground, and it is also used for rock concerts and large events throughout the year.
Golf fans will be relieved to hear that the 16 courses in the Berlin area are open to the public, and offer green fees from as little as 18 euros. You can book in advance from your hotel if you want a round of golf.
