The most popular sport for spectators in Sofia is football, and the city has two main teams, CSKA Sofia and Levski Sofia, who are the largest in the country, and regularly feature in the early stages of the UEFA competitions.
The first golf course in the city Golf Club Air Sofia opened a couple of years ago, and is very reasonable to play - costing around £20-£30 per round.
Mount Vitosha to the south of Sofia has good hiking during the summer, and a couple of skiing centres open through the winter.
