The biggest football team in the city are Legia Warsaw, who play at the Legia Stadium in the city. Their local rivals are KP Polonia Warsaw, and matches between the two sides are passionate affairs, often contested after the match with violence. Tickets for most games (apart from the derbies) are available prior to the games from the stadium.
Golf is available close to the city on several courses, which offer rounds to non-members from around £10, and these can usually be booked through the concierge at your hotel.
Poland has a long tradition for producing Ice-skating medal winners, and the Torwar II skating rink in the city is the place to go in order to see the stars of tomorrow practising. Should you fancy a go yourself, then it costs around £1 for ninety minutes on the ice.
