No visit to Koh Samui is complete without experiencing one of the famous full moon parties. A relic from the days when Samui was a backpacker paradise, the parties go on all night, and attract hundreds of people who dance through the night on the beaches. The best place to attend one of these parties is Koh Phangam, a small island to the North of Koh Samui, which is even more unspoilt and beautiful than it's larger neighbour.
Boat trips taking around half an hour run between the two islands and the parties are easy to find. Just follow the music and the crowd to Hat Rin for a night to remember.
