Visitors to Riga in Summer will find that the Dome Square in the centre of the city becomes a sea of tables and chairs, an the locals and visitors alike take advantage of the warmer weather in order to sit out in the evening drinking and having a good time.
Take a vertigo-inducing trip to the top of the spire at St Peter's church - the highest building in the city for a long time, and there are some fantastic views and photo opportunities. Thankfully there is no need to use the winding staircase, as a lift was installed several years ago, which makes the trip to the top a good deal easier.
