There are several national parks in Lithuania; the largest is the Aukstaitija in the East of the country, which is home to fantastic scenery as well as bears and many deer. There are a few tourist centres and approved campsites, and chances to see some historic buildings as well as doing hikes through the forests and mountains.
Vilnius hosts the Baltika Music Festival in rotation with Riga and Tallinn. The next time should be in 2005, but throughout the summer, the city has many music and theatre events to entertain visitors.
Fast becoming the stag night capital of Eastern Europe, Vilnius is famous for its hospitality and value. Groups are accommodated at most hotels in the city, and welcome in almost all of the bars.
