There is plenty to do in Vancouver, and something throughout the year that will appeal to almost anyone.
Chinatown is often a first stop on the tourist trail, and the area, which houses some 36,000 people, has plenty of restaurants, small shops and cultural exhibits to wander through.
Vancouver also has many parks, and of these, Vanier Park is the most accessible to tourists, as it contains several museums including several on the history of the area, and the HR Macmillan Space centre, which will appeal to wannabe astronauts of all ages with its many interactive exhibits.
Visitors to the park can also take a ride on the St Roch - a 1929 Arctic Patrol ship originally used by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
