Antigua has a warm and sunny climate all year round; the average high is 75 - 85F. There is usually a steady breeze, keeping the temperature comfortable. When it rains in Barbados, it's usually a quick shower followed by more blue skies, and most locals either head for the sea or the pool rather than trying to keep dry. The Dry Season lasts from January to June.
High season in Antigua runs from autumn through until Easter, and during this period, particularly over Christmas and other school holidays, hotels run very high occupancy levels, and need to be booked well in advance. Prices are at their lowest during the summer, although again, availability can be a problem, due to the school holidays, and you should book well in advance if you want a family holiday at one of the smaller hotels.
