The busiest tourist season in Hawaii is between December and February, although this actually falls within the wettest part of the year - albeit the time with the biggest waves - particularly on Oahu.
The weather is hottest in summer - from June - October, and this is when the seas are calmest, meaning that windsurfing and diving are at their best off the shore.
The cheapest time to visit Hawaii is from April until November, when the hotels do not suffer from as much demand, and offer lower rates. Because of the distance from the UK, Hawaii itself remains reasonably quiet during the school holidays - provided you can get seats on a trans Atlantic flight!
