With a temperature that rarely falls below 20C, and a fairly dry climate all year round, there is no really bad time to visit Kenya, although in the hottest parts of the summer, the desert regions are getting on for being the most inhospitable places on Earth. The Indian Ocean Coast is pleasant all year around, and there are increasing numbers of hotels there that are quite popular, and offer superb value throughout the year. If you are planning to dive of kenya's coast or on Lake Victoria, then it's wise to visit the country during the driest part of the year - around Easter. Seeing animals on a safari in one of the national parks is best done during the cooler months from October through until February.
