One of the highlights of the year in Spain is the annual Running of the Bulls, which takes place in the town of Pamplona during May. Also part of the festival is the famous tomato squashing ceremony, when people throw truck loads of ripe tomatoes over each other, and get riotously drunk as they reduce the town to ketchup.
The bull fights that follow the festival are not to everyone's taste, but are an integral part of Spanish culture, and if you can look beyond the preconceptions that you bring, are an incredible spectacle.
