Miami is a great year round destination, and because of the beaches, hotels tend to be busy throughout, although prices will rise during peak periods such as school holidays. The annual temperature average is around 22C. The summer months are hottest, with temperatures from June - September getting into the low 30s, although these months are also the wettest of the year. In winter it is colder and less humid. Because so many Caribbean cruises leave the city on a weekend, Friday and Saturday nights tend to be very busy, and hotels carry a surcharge.
