Dubai has a vibrant nightlife with plenty of clubs and restaurants to offer. The premier nightclub is the swanky Kaz Bar at the Royal Mirage hotel, and many other clubs throughout the city including the Hard Rock Cafe cater to almost every need. The most popular bars for tourists tend to be in hotels due to restrictions on the sale of alcohol.
Many locals spend their evenings relaxing with a Shisha pipe full of apple tobacco and an arabic coffee in one of the small smoke bars around the city. These are welcoming, and great fun, although they do tend to be an all male preserve.
